Join us for this unforgettable coastal to mountain ride and experience all the natural beauty San Diego has to offer. Tour all of the most breathtaking coastal sites, followed by the scenic roads of the backcountry and quaint mountain region of San Diego County. Opening Ceremony

The San Diego Police Department, along with city and state dignitaries, will welcome IACP members to the 119th Annual IACP Conference and Exposition. Music, characters, and a colorful display of police ceremonial pageantry will mark the beginning of the conference. The opening ceremony and all keynote addresses will be held in Ballroom 20 of the San Diego Convention Center.

Sixth Annual IACP Foundation Fundraising Gala

Held each year in conjunction with the IACP's Annual Conference, the Foundation Fundraising Gala is an opportunity to combine philanthropy with a little bit of fun.
Since 2007, the Foundation Gala has become one of the premier events at conference and is held on Saturday of the conference week at an elegant site in the host city. All proceeds from the event benefit the programs and initiatives of the Foundation.

San Diego Police Department 2012 5K Sun Run

The IACP/SDPD Sun Run is a 5K Run/Walk that will begin at 8:00AM on Sunday, September 30. The 5K Sun Run start and finish line is conveniently located on the boardwalk of the San Diego Marriott Marquis and Marina Hotel adjacent to the San Diego Convention Center. Convention attendees can walk to the start from the San Diego Marriott Marquis and Marina Hotel, Manchester Grand Hyatt, the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, and a host of nearby hotels. The course is scenic, and completely flat, taking runners on a beautiful tour of the San Diego Bay and Skyline, Embarcadero Park, Coronado Bridge, Seaport Village and the USS Midway. All proceeds benefit the San Diego Police Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the men and women of SDPD in support of a Safer San Diego. The 5K Sun Run is open to the public and the first 600 registrants will receive a SDPD/IACP Sun Run T-shirt. Transportation will be provided from selected IACP hotels. Registration fee is $40.00. San Diego Police Department and Motorola Solutions Foundation’s Police Chiefs Charity Classic

Don’t pass up the perfect opportunity to play golf during the perfect time of year at one of America’s top golfing destinations. The Motorola Solutions Foundation’s Police Chiefs Charity Classic will be held at San Diego’s #1 golf course, Maderas Golf Club. This year’s outing will include a continental breakfast, pre-round range balls, tournament shirt, gift bags, and a scramble-format golf tournament featuring on-course contests. The tournament is immediately followed by a luncheon at the Club House. Club rentals for the first 50 registrants will be complimentary. IACP’s Host Chief’s Night Block Party

Enjoy a truly unforgettable block party in the historic Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego. For three hours IACP has reserved seven blocks – yes seven! - of downtown San Diego for an evening you won’t soon forget. In true block party style, food, refreshments and entertainment will fill the streets. In addition, whatever type of food you enjoy, you will find it in the thirteen restaurants open exclusively to IACP members and their guests. American, Asian, Italian, Mexican are just some of the dishes that will be served. Move freely among these eateries and the unique shops that also will be open. Network as you wander between the five stages with a variety of entertainment, or just sit and people-watch at one of the many outdoor seating areas.

Join us for the IACP Annual Banquet featuring the formal swearing-in of the president and board of officers. This is a black-tie-optional event (business suits are appropriate). Entertainment will be provided by the Royal Bahamas Police Force Pop Band. Seats are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited. Tickets are $85 per person.
