The Chicago Police Department and Motorola's 2011 Ride for the Memorial

Join us on an autumn ride from Chicago’s North Shore to the Harley-Davison Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A continental breakfast will be served before departure and lunch will be provided at the Museum. A tour of the museum will be available for the participants of the ride. Limited to 250 participants, the ride will depart from Chicago Harley-Davidson at 8:30AM on Saturday, October 22. The registration fee is $40. Bike rentals are available through Chicago Harley-Davidson at a discounted rate. All proceeds from the ride will benefit the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation which is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance to the families of our fallen heroes, as well as providing assistance to catastrophically injured officers. The Chicago Police Department, along with city and state dignitaries, will welcome IACP members to the 118th Annual IACP Conference and Exposition. Music, characters, and a colorful display of police ceremonial pageantry will mark the beginning of the conference. The opening ceremony and all keynote addresses will be held in the Skyline Ballroom of the McCormick Place West Convention Center.

All proceeds from the event benefit the programs and initiatives of the Foundation.

The Chicago Police Department and Motorola's Golf Invitational

The Motorola Invitational will be held at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club. Cog Hill is currently the home of the PGA BMW Championship and promises a spectacular round of golf. This year’s golf outing will include a continental breakfast, pre-round range balls, scramble-style golf tournament followed by a banquet at the Country Club. The registration fee is $160 and transportation will be provided from selected IACP hotels. All proceeds will benefit the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation which is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance to the families of our fallen heroes, as well as providing assistance to catastrophically injured officers. The Chicago Police Department and Motorola's 5K Foot Chase

The Motorola and Chicago Police Department 5K Foot Chase is a 5 K Run and Walk that will be held on Sunday October 23 at 8:00AM. The 5K Foot Chase begins and ends at Gold Star Families Memorial and Park. The park is located just east of historic Soldier Field along the shore of Lake Michigan in the Museum Campus. Participants will head north with Lake Michigan on your east and the beautiful Chicago Skyline on your west. All proceeds will benefit the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation which is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance to the families of our fallen heroes, as well as providing assistance to catastrophically injured officers.
The Course – Timing
The USATF sanctioned and certified (IL09035JW) chrono-timed 5k run course begins on Museum Campus Drive, heads north along the lakefront path, loops back on the harbor walk, and finishes at Gold Star Park. Digital clocks with mile splits will be posted at mile 1, 2, and the finish line. Water is provided on the course. Course will duplicate the annual Run to Remember Race route.

First General Assembly and Uniform Day

All police are asked to wear their department's uniform on Uniform Day, Monday, October 24. The cap or hat is optional and wearing firearms and other weapons is discouraged. Uniform Day celebrates the association's diversity and internationalism by creating a spectacular visual display of uniforms from around the world.
IACP's Host Chief's Night at the Museum of Science and Industry

You don’t want to miss this night at this Museum! Join your fellow IACP members for a truly memorable evening of sights, sounds and hands-on exhibits in the largest Museum east of the Mississippi. Housed in the one remaining building from the 1893 World’s Fair, you will be able to board a German submarine, go down a mine shaft, be in the midst of stormy weather, be dwarfed by a locomotive and see outer space displays that will truly amaze you. And that is just part of your evening! Other exhibits will keep you busy but save time for food, beer, wine, soda and music which will be throughout the Museum during the event. Roundtrip transportation will be provided from all official IACP hotels.
