About the Conference

The International Association of Chiefs of Police has long had a reputation for providing top-notch education on the most pressing law enforcement topics. That is why more than 14,000 law enforcement professionals will be attending the 116th Annual IACP Conference and Exposition in Denver, Colorado, USA from October 3-7, 2009. With renowned keynote speakers, forums and technical workshops, and the largest exhibit hall of products and services for the law enforcement community, this must attend event should be on your calendar.

Education

Each year over 150 educational sessions are offered to attendees of the IACP's Annual Conference and Exposition. Law enforcement executives present on current issues and trends while sharing lessons learned. Topics from past conferences include, but are not limited to, strategies for leading change in police culture, less than lethal issues, online learning and opperational support, public law enforcement and private security collaboration, violent crime, use of force issues, training, and case studies.

Exhibit Hall

Every year, IACP assembles the newest products and the latest technologies at the largest exposition designed specifically for law enforcement. More than 700 companies will showcase their products and services geared for law enforcement. You'll find an exhibit hall full of items your department needs, such as weapons, less lethal technology, vehicles, vehicle accessories, uniforms, body armor and personal protection equipment, homeland security-approved gear, communications, computer and information systems, professional training and much more. Exhibit hall passes are FREE for all public safety officers and civilians.

Networking

One of the top reasons law enforcement executives attend the IACP Annual Conference and Exposition is the unique opportunity to network with their peers. With more than 14,000 law enforcement executives attending the conference, the wealth of information and experience available to attendees is unmatched. The educational sessions and exhibit hall allow for formalized information sharing opportunities while social events, such as IACP's Host Chief's Night and the Annual Banquet, generate candid conversations. The opportunity to connect with your peers is something you can benefit from throughout the year.

General Assemblies

Both general assemblies provide keynote addresses from top law enforcement officials from around the world. Major announcements and speeches are part of the pageantry associated with the IACP gerenal assemblies.
